OMF accomplishments since its founding in 2002 include:
- Fort Ritchie Community Center – Represented Mountaintop residents in the development of fitness and recreational center (opened 2008)
- Mountaintop Heritage Days – Produced this regional event since 2006 which includes live entertainment, a parade, craft and food vendors, children's games, living history and summer fireworks at the former Fort Ritchie Army post. Local non-profit organizations benefitted by collectively netting over $20,000 at this event.
- Fund-raisers for community organizations such as “Help Hotline” (community food bank), Cascade Elementary School PTA.
- The placement of Civil War Trails Markers in Blue Ridge Summit, PA and PenMar Park, MD to commemorate the Battle of Monterey Pass. OMF worked in tandem with community and historical organizations to accomplish this.
- Blue Ridge Theater Guild – Since 2008, OMF sponsors a bi-annual dinner theater for the community's enjoyment.
- Conducted living history symposiums, historical interpretation programs, walking tours and seminars.
